My standard fee is $150 for a 50-minute individual counselling session.
If you have extended health benefits, many plans cover services with a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC). Coverage does vary by plan, so it’s helpful to check with your provider about what’s included for you.
I don’t offer direct billing at this time. Most clients pay by credit card after the session and then submit their receipts to their insurance provider for reimbursement. I’ll provide a detailed receipt after each session with my RCC and CCC information included to make that process as smooth as possible.

In our first session, we'll take some time to get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy. It’s an opportunity for you to share whatever’s on your mind in a safe, supportive space. Together, we’ll explore what you need and create a plan that feels right for you.
-
Typically, our sessions last around 50 minutes. If you’d prefer an extended 75-minute session, we can discuss that option as well.
-
The frequency of our sessions depends on your goals and unique situation. Many people begin with weekly sessions, but we’ll figure out what works best for you—whether that’s weekly, bi-weekly, or a more flexible schedule.
-
Yes, everything we discuss in therapy is kept confidential. There are just a few exceptions where I’m legally required to break confidentiality, such as if there’s an immediate risk of harm to you or others, or in cases of suspected child abuse or neglect. These situations are rare, and I can explain them fully in our first session so you feel clear and supported.
-
Therapy is unique for everyone. Some people find a few sessions are enough to feel a positive and compassionate shift, while others prefer ongoing support. We’ll stay connected about your progress and adjust things together based on what feels right for you.
-
My approach is humanistic, focusing on your strengths and prioritizing harm reduction, with a deep understanding of trauma. I draw from Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Compassion-Focused, Somatic, and Emotion-Focused approaches to support your journey and help guide our sessions.

Therapy is a valuable resource for anyone seeking support with personal challenges, emotional struggles, or mental health concerns. Whether you’re navigating stress, anxiety, depression, or life transitions, therapy offers a compassionate space to explore your feelings and experiences.
-
Chronic pain often intertwines with anxiety and fear, creating a challenging cycle that heightens pain and stress. In our sessions, we will gently explore this pain-fear cycle with empathy and compassion, guiding you toward healing and comfort. Therapy can be a valuable part of managing chronic physical pain, as emotional stress and mental health conditions frequently impact physical sensations. Together, we will develop coping strategies, relaxation techniques, and address emotional concerns to enhance your overall well-being.
-
You don’t need to bring anything specific, but having an idea of your goals or concerns can be helpful. If you have any relevant medical or psychological history, sharing that information can also be beneficial. However, we can discuss everything during our conversations as well.
